Because I haven't done one of these in a while (and because I think they can be kinda interesting.)

Hey Michael, when and where in PA did you hail from?
My father's side of the family comes from a very tiny suburb of Philadelphia (Morton...near Chester) and I lived there for a year or so when I was a child and I visited a few times when I was older (until my Grandmother died.)
Check that out! Small world! I went to college at Swarthmore and was a watch-care member at Shorter AME Church in Morton. I volunteered in their tutoring program and really enjoyed the folks I met in Morton. The smallness of it reminded me in someways of my home state, Arkansas. I really enjoyed being able to go to Morton during my college years.
I must be boring, I've lived in Missouri my whole life and only been to Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. I was too young to remember OK and TX and was just in KY for about 6 hours and TN and AR are pretty much just drive throughs to Mississippi where my grandmother-in-law is. :)
I’ve lived in West Virginia all my life. Have traveled to:
California; Delaware; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Kentucky;
Louisiana; Maryland; Michigan;
Mississippi; New Jersey; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; South Carolina; Tennessee; Texas; Utah; Virginia; Washington, DC
(Outside US- Bahamas)
Alaska - High school in Fairbanks.
California - live there now.
Hawaii - attended Pearl City Elem.in Honolulu there for three years as a child.
Idaho - have driven thru this state, fast!!
Illnois- spend three days in Chicago once and at OHare Airport on the way to Ohio.
Kansas - lived in Topeka as a kid for a couple of years.
New Jersey - have driven thru.
New Mexico - spent a couple weeks in Santa Fe.
New York - have visited twice, once for pleasure and once for work AND pleasure.
Ohio- have family there, visited once.
Oregon - worked off and on at a newspaper in Portland.
Washington - born in Seattle and lived off and on in Tacoma and Seattle area for a few years.
..and that's justi n THIS country!
Hi Michael, Did you know Charles Bond in Morton?
Karama,
Actually that names sounds vaguely familiar but it's been so long since I was in Morton...and whenever I went I met so many people (my grandparents had 8 children and so the area in and around town has more cousins and friends of cousins and friends of the family than I could hope to count) that it's hard to know for sure.
Your grandparents might have known him. He worked on the grounds at Swarthmore and was a member at Shorter.
Thanks for bringing back fond memories of Morton.
A few states to go...
Alabama / Alaska / Arizona / Arkansas / California / Colorado / Connecticut / Delaware / Florida /
Georgia / Hawaii / Idaho / Illinois / Indiana / Iowa / Kansas / Kentucky / Louisiana / Maine / Maryland /
Massachusetts / Michigan / Minnesota / Mississippi / Missouri / Montana / Nebraska / Nevada / New
Hampshire / New Jersey / New Mexico / New York / North Carolina / North Dakota / Ohio / Oklahoma /
Oregon / Pennsylvania / Rhode Island / South Carolina / South Dakota / Tennessee / Texas / Utah /
Vermont / Virginia / Washington / West Virginia / Wisconsin / Wyoming / Washington D.C. /
and a lot of countries in the world I would like to visit yet too!
It wouldn't accept my underline tag so I used the bold for the states I've been to and added the italics to the one I'm in now.
